Yeah i said 3/row quantity.....easier to total them up.....but the pattern i like is 2/4/2 as I stated.

lol oh ok...yes if you didn't double yours up like you did(two singles and two doubles) then it would be a three per row 144 total assuming they were all singles. But technically yours(going by what it looks like) is a two per row set up, obviously configured to your liking, and that's where I got confused.

Looking to stud my track on the new SRX LE with the 1" ripsaw track , any ideas on what anyone used on latest sidewinder? Quantities and patterns?

With square backers. These studs have 9000 miles on them. So the backers have moved. Round backers would look better but we all
Boosted up out front so we don’t have time to care about the looks of stud backers.
I’ve done 3 sidewinders like this and everyone loves the trailability and traction. Obviously if your ice racing you’d have more.
Aslong as you stay out of the center inch of track you can run three tunnel protectors. ( 9000 miles on the one in the pic.

* don’t forget to use loctite and make sure every stud is sunk well into the track.

To be honest I think I installed them like that. After about 50 studs you stop worrying about holding them straight.

Aslong as the stud is tight sunk in the track I don’t disturb the loctites

Joe, that is the reason most guys hate square backers....they turn, and then they will bend or cut into the track(sharp corner) sooner or later, I ran square long time ago and saw that.

Round is easier for OCD too...haha

The backers turning doesn’t hurt anything. 9000 miles not one pullout. Speaks for itself

Hey guys, Is the Yamaha tunnel protection kit good enough to protect putting 1.325 studs on this 1" track?? If not, what is ok? Woody's of course only recommends going with the 1.075"

The 1.075" doesn't exist, that's an error from the suppliers book, they took the part number GDP6-1075 and made a 1.075" measurement with it, the actual measurement of the GDP6-1075 is 1.495" wich has a 1.330" measurement installed, that would finish with a. 330" over track lug, just under 3/8", The Yamaha tunnel protectors will work fine, You can verify all this information by going on Woody's web site under the Tech Tips recommended chart, all the real numbers are there, hope this helps.
