Clutch side panel is vented like the right side on the g4 900t .BRP should have added LED headlight and new gauges....instead of using same ole crap for so many yrs. Not that the gauges are bad, but heck they are same for so long now. They just want guys to buy their access LED instead. grrr
I think MPG will be just one or two below the NA.....turbo does not typically change MPG much and in some cases can be better. If the 900t gets 16-18mpg, that will be a huge deal for range, and certainly catch my full attention.
Still have yet to see the Pdrive get good belt life.....so will see if the new fixed sheave cooling fins help with the massive heat from this yrs Pdrive models.
Not sure belt life could get any worse then a winder......

Trail riding corner to corner though? I know all the radar guys dont have issues. For me its the corner to corner hammering/backshifting that destroys the belt.I’ve blown one belt. And that was after many passes at max boost. Since adjusting alignment my clutches are as cool as any clutch I’ve ever felt. I have zero belt fear when riding.
Dropping my offset down today from 61.mm to 58mm....hoping for good results, blowing belts very frustrating, not sure why it took 2 seasons for guys to all the sudden decide 61mm is too much. As 61mm was said over and over again to be the place to set them. Sure hope it fixes mine.

The thing I read on BRP site noted the 900ace in brackets(MPG) but did not specifically say what the MPG is for turbo. But I can see it being just as good when trail riding, which I believe will be huge for trail riders like myself who actually ride trails and need range. Im all for power and speed as you know, but in the end MPG is quite high on most trail riders priority list, whether that say it or not. They rate the mpg of the turbo 900 the same as the non turbo 900 ace. That would be amazing if it is indeed true.

Ken if that is actually realized, I can see a crapload of guys flocking to them. BRP designed the ACE engines to be the most efficient. My neighbors 600ace gets 31mpg.....he basically never needs fuel ever! LOLDan, 19 MPG

I do like all the additional venting on the wide body g4. I think BRP has realized all their 4s run hot, and this new "attached" turbo will be hot for sure, but Im liking their encapsulated heat shrouding.....it looks to cover the entire exhaust manifold and blower all in one. It sure will be interesting to watch this new 900t next season, and get the results on what kind of speeds/power it actually has. I have a feeling since BRP priced it OVER their 850, it is gonna have to be "right there" for top speed and power, cause if its way behind the 850 and cost more, you are gonna here the guys complaining alot im sure.Clutch side panel is vented like the right side on the g4 900t .
I feel like since its replacing their 1200 from 18, it will have to outrun the 18 4tec...and my buddy owns a 18 4tec and that thing is a rocket...its way faster then my 16 4tec was, and its bone stock! He can run/beat most every etec 800 he runs, and is right there with the 850s.
900t, Gonna be one to watch for sure.

Do you have room to get to 58 without any machining?Trail riding corner to corner though? I know all the radar guys dont have issues. For me its the corner to corner hammering/backshifting that destroys the belt.

I have almost 2000 miles trail riding.. I know it's not much but conditions limited my riding this year. Heading north next week, should put another 1000 miles on. I think 61 was a complete guess that somehow gained traction...IMO people just picked a middle number of the recommended range.

It's kind of funny that the aftermarket companies will post a ton of videos of drag racing and going fast across a lake, but not a single one of them will post what their offset is on the Yamaha clutches.
It's like a big secret they don't want the public to know.
