2019s

It's kind of funny that the aftermarket companies will post a ton of videos of drag racing and going fast across a lake, but not a single one of them will post what their offset is on the Yamaha clutches.

It's like a big secret they don't want the public to know.
That don't make them money. Going fast and selling flashes does........

It's not a secret, and it's not one number for every sled. Get your measuring tools out...cut enough off the back of your secondary so you have just enough clearance to run it with one washer. Once that's done...go out and test, with various shims behind. measure belt temps, and find what works for you.

They rate the mpg of the turbo 900 the same as the non turbo 900 ace. That would be amazing if it is indeed true.

My 2011 MCX 290 Apex gets better mileage than my 2013 Stock Apex ridden in the same fashion.

The thing I read on BRP site noted the 900ace in brackets(MPG) but did not specifically say what the MPG is for turbo. But I can see it being just as good when trail riding, which I believe will be huge for trail riders like myself who actually ride trails and need range. Im all for power and speed as you know, but in the end MPG is quite high on most trail riders priority list, whether that say it or not.

If you go on their web site and click on the get more information flag under the new turbo engine you will see all the engines. It shows the 850 at 19 mpg, the 1200 at 19 mpg and both of the 900's at 21.8 mpg. I'm assuming this new turbo will be very good on fuel.

My buddy’s 850 was a touch better than my winder and I get 11mpg I’m guessing he gets 12-13. In Quebec 2 weeks ago another friend rented a enduro 1200 and he was getting ok mileage maybe 13-14 but when we got to trail 83 between relais 22 miller and parent I got better mileage than him, the best mileage was a 2016 800 etec but he had to carry oil in his linq 3 gallon can

I’ve blown one belt. And that was after many passes at max boost. Since adjusting alignment my clutches are as cool as any clutch I’ve ever felt. I have zero belt fear when riding.
I have not blown a belt on either Winder!
Might be lucky X2. Might be how the sleds get driven. Who knows? Never blew a belt on the 17 Renegade 850 last year.

Are the Cat Team clutches blowing belts also ?

Are they having any failures ?
Nope, 2100 trouble free miles here. I think there are some who claim they have blown belts but I'd like to know the whole story. I, modded heavy studded, on ice, cold belt, etc. I think the ones have in issues with the team clutches are in the minority.

I love the real world mileage game...like one guy had a machz triple with dpm, and got 13 regularly. He rode with us and got 10. I think he went to the dealer to check it out. I always got 10 on mine. Maybe putting around looking for the elusive unicorn can net better mileage....You wanna play, you gotta pay!!Lol! But it's nice to know what you really get in case you have to stretch it.

Screenshot.....being rated better then the 1200 and 850, should be darn good mpg.
