What are your thoughts on the SRX track?

Thought it was odd to see the original RIPSAW 1 type(finger track) rather then the newer 1" rip2.

Do we know if it has the quiet bumps? Maybe it wont which will be nice. In the pic below I can see quiet bumps on outer section which does not bother me, But i dont like the inner bumps on my current track when studding....I assume it is a 2ply but ya never know, I sure hope its not a DOO style 1ply which will balloon alot more.

Also, It looks like the new 3 wheel axle/rear wheels DONT have any rubber on them. And new idler spoked design up front.

I think the biggest advantage/disadvantage of rip II over rip I, was the rip II gave up traction in the corner or inability to grip when cornering.
Take that anyway you want. But that goes completely out the window once studs are added.

Rode my sled unstudded last season. Definitely loose in the corners. Lol!

BTW....don't need to see any more pics, thanks. Didn't allocate any funds to a new 2019 SRX. Maybe you will.

I cant believe they made the LE SRX window even LOWER for 19....Just read that and noticed in that nice front end pic above, its even lower then my stocker which I changed out to SE window awhile back.lol

Well....I haven't been on the forum for a while but I have been trolling quite a bit and I must say after throwing many parts and or idea's at this sidewinder to keep it from blowing belts nothing has worked. I am currently running a 18 LTX Le and I must say if anything it's worse then my 17 was. We have had a low snow year here so I have been running Cochrane Ontario as much as possible and I managed to put 1200 miles so far and I am on belt #4. Many many sidewinders on the trails and at every stop it was always a conversation about who blew the most belts and let me tell ya I was blown away even on stock sleds. Love the sled to death but how can a turbo Apex or a Turbo Nytro be so good on belts ( best in the biz) and these be the worse in the biz I just don't get it......

And now a SRX with a lower 1'' lug, lower ride height etc will this really remove that much stress from the belt to make it last or did they make other changes that I am not aware of.

Ownership for me would be tough. I'd have conflict to preserve it vs ride it.
I don't have that kind of disposable income.

Look close at your pics Dan, yes it is a quiet lug track.
I like the rip II better as the paddles are not so flexable as rip 1, seriously considered the rip II 1" before I studded the 1.250.

Needs to earn its stripes and I’m skeptical.
Yea it looks cool but performance wise a TD tuned power trail Winder will smoke it, I’m positive of that. The track lug height is it’s biggest disadvantage.
The advantages of the larger lug track are huge.
I would much rather ride a Sidewinder with a tune, handle well and out accelerate and smoke that SRX on the lake.

JT just get a tune you’ll actually be happier. If you buy that SRX then get smoked on the lake by a tuned Winder, you’ll be kicking yourself.

There is a new helix in the secondary I am hearing.

HP wins.....a 270 tune on a SW should beat the SRX with 205 HP. I don't care if the SW has a 1.5" track. I like the looks of the SRX but myself I am not a person that likes dealing with studs and I don't feel studding the SRX would do much in the UP where I ride being the snow is sugar LES. If I owned a new SRX I would likely replace the track with something that works for me.

Kinda sounds like Yamaha should be working harder to keep their clutches aligned?
