The handlebar controls have been failing and of course are on back order I believe.

I have read so many times about this....going back to the beginning when they first released it.
I really wish YAM would offer the SRX and LE models with manual shocks, like the Tcat.
Can you guys tell me, if you have them set to say medium(#2), and the switch quits. Will they just remain at that setting always? I guess if they remain, its not quite as worrisome.

From my understanding is yes.
Can’t convert them economically either body and cap and shaft are different lengths than a qs3r also.I have read so many times about this....going back to the beginning when they first released it.

Good question Dan. It's great to see that you're still sniffing around here on TY and haven't lost the faith in the 998. Really miss your awesome contributions to this site.
When mine quit working I was in the Soft setting at the time. I didn't notice any change in the ride after that so my guess is that it defaults to the last setting when it decides to quit working.
Today I checked with the service manager from the dealer that I bought the sled from and he wasn't sure what it defaults to. As far as he knew there has been no service bulletin released from Yamaha yet regarding the problem and remedy.

Unfortunately that seems to be the new normal not only with Yamaha but all of the OEM's.

THIS POST is exactly why I bought the standard QS3 on a 21 Cat 8000.. Its just another thing to go wrong.. How often does one change the setting?

My 19' SRX came with the IQS and I find the QS3Rs Kashima on the 17' LE I had were much better!

I change mine depending on conditions, and with that being said it works pretty good, let’s not change this thread around into why you didn’t get them, but trying to figure out a fix for those that do have them, and I’ll add that my dash has been flashed for tunes, so are guys having troubles with stock guage or flashed guage?

I have 1 2021 srx that is flashed and has 3000km on it no iqs issues. I have another 2021 srx (wifes) that is stock 3000km no iqs issues. I thought I had read about a iqs module update from the 2019/2020 version. I mostly keep mine on medium. Hopefully they have some in stock for guys that are having issues.
