In the US.
60% discount on the full warranty with Cat.
Probably 15% + off of list price give or take on the sleds.
Also 2k - 3k differential between CAT and Yam.
The spindles color .....be thankful for the "Barnum" look with that type of discount. Since they are solid gotta believe a wrap is possible.
Perhaps in Canada the dealers can hold the pricing higher?

If your into financing - if your in the US a local Credit Union will do better than the Cat financing through Sheffield, etc.
The 2.99% is nice but the terms offered by a local credit union can be better....
There is a real price difference between Cat and Yam. Even after the warranty is figured in.... at least $1,500 difference and I find less complaints about Tcats than Sidewinders... maybe less out there? Etc...
I would like a Yam. But the upfront out of pocket is greater for me and I can get into the Cat easier. If I boost the sled the warranty doesn't matter anyway as it is likely not to be honored.
Heck for the price difference I can make the mechanical "enhancements" and still be cheaper than the SW if no extra warranty.

without. Add $500 for i-act. That is a 48 month warranty.
The spindle color is a non issue for me, they can easily be powder coated

Yea, but isn't tearing it apart and reassembling a pain?

Always nice to dream....
Oh, don't think I ever actually complained; at least on the forum.
Save some on one end so it can be "invested" somewhere else.... and it is not an investment that's for sure.

I just do not like how cat has only 1 turbo model option this year vs the multiple choices from yammi including the new 146" skid. And for that Yammi controls that desire and knows it so the prices reflect it. Sucks but reality. If anyone is like me and has the goal of racing with your sled, the 146 will be the better choice over the 137 any day. In the end is the extra $2,500 0r so worth it? To me it maybe so.

For the record I went with the Tcat. Put money down on Saturday. I was not able to justify the price difference for what I wanted.
Both the SRX and Tcat are basically black. If I blow money on changing colors the money I saved over the Yammi goes towards that.
I can get a warranty and still be less than SRX.
Given that there are known mechanical issues in certain areas there was not a strong reason to consider the SRX version over the Tcat for those reasons.

Yamaha just did not put up any reasons to make them the selection of choice inspite of the fact I preffered to get a an SRX.
Happy Trails!
