2021 sleds , check your chain case!

The Cats with new spindles rear is mounted in the upper hole all of them I have seen at least. Not sure what or why Yamaha would be different unless they were trying to get Tuners to turn and forgot they don’t have those anymore. Everything else is same. So...

Very interesting, I’m gonna try it in the bottom
Hole when I get on the trail. In my mind i think this would put the Center of gravity up on the sled . Seems counter productive for a trail sled. Cannondale would it not also put a lot more forward ski pressure on the front end?

I mounted mine in the upper hole this year! It puts alot of pressure on the center shock and it gonna transfer alot more. It's also lower so I don't see any cons. Track clearance at the rear heat exchanger is alot tighter but that should help with cooling.

Right. That’s why upper makes sense especially with regular springs.

Same here , brand new LTX GT , CHAIN WAS FULL TIGHT !

I’m not sure if it’s the dealers hiring incapable people to do pdi or Yamaha isn’t the Yamaha we are used to, my sled came with the chain case oil just barely at the bottom of the sight glass, my steering effort was unreal hard to turn the bar just to name a few.

I would think that if the dealers know about the issues we are all having they would take the time to make sure what goes out of their shop is correct. Regardless of if yamaha pays them extra for what needs to be done. That's just good service and will bring people back.

What was causing your steering to be tight?

Just the way the sled was setup, my front suspension spring was loose just laying on the adjuster, the day I went to pick up my sled the owner of the dealer spent the time and went through the whole sled with me, this is that and that is this and we setup the suspension to your weight and so on.

The next few days as I was going over the sled most of what he said wasn’t done or wasn’t adjusted, I remember he even pointed at the chain case sight glass and said we fill it to 3/4 or a tad more, I didn’t bend down to look while I was there but I should of as it would of be good prof that his pdi guys aren’t doing what they are supposed to be doing LOL..

I know of two sleds. One a 17 and one a 2020 that are extremely hard physically to steer. Not setup supposedly. Suspect a ball joint or something like that which only happens under a load. No access to these sleds but I rode the 17 for 5 minutes and almost crashed in twisters. Was incredibly hard to steer. Crazy!

Mine was definitely do to setup, not sure about other years but my 20 centre spring is weak from factory to work with snow trackers, the string ray spring I got from you helped a lot.

Yes these are some other mechanical issue I believe. Determined to figure it out this year for the guys.
