Cat must have changed the track. On the reveal day I went thru specs and it still had the 1” rip1 track. Now it shows the 1.25” rip2 like the ‘17 and ‘18 had.
Makes more sense with the cat gearing anyway.....just wonder if Yamaha had input to this so there is now no direct comparison to the SRX. Or maybe SRX will come with 1.25 for ‘21?

Looking at a new sled already? I must admit if I where to buy new at this point that is where I would be looking.

Me too, the TCat or a 900T if Doo decides to up the power and fix that awful throttle. I'd rather have a amped up Doo knowing it is better built and engineered. I may have to just go down in power and get the Doo. Getting a little bored with the Winder and looking to change it up next year. I'll be ordering something new, but what? Not too enthused with the 900T as it is.

Yeah, I am not a Ski-Doo fan, don't like the way they handle.
I hate trading a sled for one that is basically the same so I would probably lean toward keeping my Winder and racking up mileage. I think my days of owning multiple sleds at once are over.
I do like the 2021 T-Cat comes with an 1 1/4 track though.

Yeah the spec change on track caught me by surprise as just a few days ago on release it still showed the 1” rip1 like the srx. Just makes me wonder why. I do like the 1.25 better though.
We got a 900t in our group for me to ride often to try. Rode a few last season and it was just about how bad the throttle was. So either get used to it or hope the tunes out there have helped. There is much talk about tuners all playing with the throttle feedback with their tunes so at least there is a chance it can be better, but IMO won’t ever feel normal.
After working on my new 850 I’m not so sure I want a doo as they are nowhere as easy to work on as these cat chassies. And the 900t with tune we rode still was not even in the realm of power we got with the 998. Handling wise although it’s lighter it feels heavier in some respects, not playful at all. And too be honest the wide body is ugly.
Really too bad we don’t have more 4s performance choices. At least with the 998 we know the issues and know the power can be had bigtime. I loved the cat I rode as the team clutching with cat gearing felt snappy as hell bone stock, so that would be nice.

Polaris handle well, sure would be nice to see them come up with a high performance boosted 4S.Yeah the spec change on track caught me by surprise as just a few days ago on release it still showed the 1” rip1 like the srx. Just makes me wonder why. I do like the 1.25 better though.

Agree. I love riding other brands and swap often. But I really want to run 4s. This 850 I got smokes me out of my shop fast and reminded me how much I hate the smell. And not too mention the cost of oil will suck.Polaris handle well, sure would be nice to see them come up with a high performance boosted 4S.
If poo got into the 4s game it would be great for everyone. I almost would like to try the doo 900t just for a change but the tcat will be about same price if not a bit cheaper. Hard to pass up the tcat pricing, and the warranty is not a big issue for me since we know all the issues now.

soo if u got the cat - team secondary is pretty bad so a supreme tools a good choice ($800), sounds like the team primary is good, u could install a yame primary - i believe the stub shaft is same. if u wanted to run a yame secondary - u could change the main secondary shaft. gears are different but we always swap those anyway... what else - its like 3g cheaper but is it worth it?? i want the 141 146 anyway... its like 40 lbs lighter.. itd be hard to drive a cat after all this... ya i knowwww

I have no regrets spring ordering my 19 cat!!!
I had a few of the common issues but nothing major! Team clutches really work well I ran the same belt all season and my sled was tunes from new! I been working on both 900t and 998's. Doo's are absolutely well built but they suck to work on!! Just removing the hood is a pain and as for the clutches I m into around 300$ for all the proper tools needed to disassemble!!The 998 are breeze to rip apart
I wouldn't trade my 998 for anything on the market nothing out there will ever thrill me like this animal does on the trails.

Agree 100%. I tore down my new 850 plastics and man o man, just a royal pain. Doos always need special tools too, not user friendly until you buy them all. I have owned a ton of doos and have most the tools.I have no regrets spring ordering my 19 cat!!!

Just gotta decide what I want.....I do like trying new sleds often and could possibly try the 900t if I felt it was a fun corner to corner sled once tuned. It is certainly lighter then our procross 998 but does not feel a ton lighter when we rode it. I want to get some more seat time on one in rough trails. Bud has one now for this season so will see how we like it.
Price wise, the Tcat and 900t will be pretty similar overall....less warranty on the cat but I feel we know all the things we need to take care of.
I would love to see Cat working on some more upgrades for the current chassie. Not sure they could ever fit the triple into that new mid size chassie.
