2022 Lineup

I'd actually still like to know if anyone knows the answer to this. I've got 2 22's on order, and would like to know which "fixes" are still needed/recommended :)
Wont know this until they roll off the line and get to dealers.. I WOULD NOT hold your breath..

After 100,000+kms on Apex sleds I finally pulled the trigger on a 2021 LTX GT. I left it entirely stock, no studs and no tune. It took me about 300kms to get the suspension setup to my riding style. I did the rollover valve bypass based on this site info and to keep oil out of my air box. I now have 4500kms and have not had an issue, still on factory belt with only .005 of wear. I love my Apex but this sled has renewed my desire to ride. The handling is unbelievable and the power is endless. It’s quiet all you hear is wind and track. You don’t have to drive this sled fast it’s quite happy to cruise along at any speed and the clutching is way smoother than the Apex especially on take off.

I will be reporting on maintenance findings at my 4800km service coming soon. I will be inspecting the drive axle bearing/fit and chain case top gear. I will also re-seal my oil tank as it appears to be wet around the gasket. If this was an Apex it would be donut time so not much difference so far.

Well if he got any Sidewinder questions you are definitely the guy to go to. With all your experience over the years your the kinda guy we need on this site Thanks you for all of your help and insite.
Well thank you ... Maybe you should take a different approach and step up and help for a change, you seem very knowledgeable and intelligent! :)

I can't say anyone has ever accused me of being intelligent before.

Great report! These truly are amazing machines!

Looking at the stx gt eps, are the hard cases supposed to be included? Or are they an accessory?

My dad ordered an XTX LE after 13,000 miles on his 2017 LTX SE.

I tried talking him out of it because he only trail rides, but he said he wanted to try something different. I hope it handles ok on the trails.

I told him he is making a mistake. I've never ridden one though.

I'm expecting he will have to coast through the corners to keep the skis planted. I guess we will find out next winter.

Yes along with the auxiliary fuel tank.

I'm actually not so sure. The text on the Yamaha web-site is super-vague and doesn't specifically mention the hard "suit cases", just the "hard rear storage", which could just be the trunk. Yamaha also sells them as accessories, and as far as I can tell, the S-TX GT is the only model with the "clips" to hold them. I asked my dealer, and he wasn't sure. I really hope they do come standard though, as they are an additional $500!

I was basing it off the "beauty" photos on the website as normally those pictures are how the sled comes out of the crate. Although, as with anything, "specifications are subject to change"

I wish I could confirm but we have not sold this model yet.
