Nice, I know this is off subject but..
Did you set the offset on that 22 using the hurricane tool?
If you did im curious what number you came up with.
I did not use my hurricane tool on mine(big mistake)
My clutches are all chewed up with a 57.8mm offset.. And the measurement was taken several times.
Sorry for going off track but I know your good at mods and very knowledgeable, but don't assume the offset numbers of the past will work on the 22. Im still trying to figure out mine as 57.8 is way OFF on mine in 110 miles..
Snow all melted, work in progress
Take it in for warranty ?
Did a rivet get in there and tear up your clutch?
When I was done doing my steering bushings I made sure to vaccum out all the old rivets.

My buddy went to the cat dealership which is only 1 mile away. He inquired about what sealant to use on his 17 RTX motor oil leak. They offered a new sealant for $90, supposedly very thick and much better then the Black silicone that many are using! He bought the Black from them for around $10 he said.I have a 22 srx in for some hurricane goodies and taking a close look for any updates.
I notice they used a harder sealant like loctite 5900?
Definitely a different compound then 17 to 21

So yeah, they have a new sealant for sale!

So.....should I install the BOP oil tank gasket I have in the ready or pickup some of the new sealant? I have not pulled the sled out of the trailer yet but noticed what appeared to be a small oil stain in the trailer deck directly below the oil tank. I'm at ~380 miles and yet, I also purchased the oil tank bypass kit. Yes, still in warranty.

I just put in the oil tank gasket, i was a bit surprised to see how wide it is and how it folds over when tightening it, but if it works, it works lol.So.....should I install the BOP oil tank gasket I have in the ready or pickup some of the new sealant? I trimmed some of the excess off after I got it put together and torqued down

I resealed my buddies 21 T-Cat oil tank that was leaking. I used the gray GM rtv that they use on there Dura-Max oil pans! Don't know the part# off hand, it's a little pricey but definitely does the job! When I put on a flat bottom oil pan on my 15 D-Max I literally had to get a 2ft pry bar to get the stock pan off the block!

that grey rtv i believe is meant for aluminum, flex n torque wise, more durable, pwc gyes use it on the paper part of the 2 piece head on 2sks , works great, but i think if mine develops a leak the bop gasket is the way to go , just need to order it n have handy , sounds like a matter of not if but when that will leakI resealed my buddies 21 T-Cat oil tank that was leaking. i may do that as well, but for now ill leave it as is. It may help identify a leak later, who knowsI trimmed some of the excess off after I got it put together and torqued down

What do you guys think about using Yamabond or 3 bond case sealant. I still have some of that from my 2 stroke days.

My 18 winder never leaked , my 21 leaked after the season was over with the roll over valve replaced from day one . Another guy with a 21 is leaking after the summer.
Going back to the offset from the factory my 22 LE had 1 shim behind secondary was set at about 60.5 . Tested sled in my field, it feels pretty fast stock and pulled right through to 9100 rpm with stock clutching . Better than my 21 srx stock . After checking the clutches I did notice this is the first sidewinder I have had that the secondary rollers have equal pressure on all 3 ramps .
