MY viper will start when I heat it up, starts with no problem. Can't count on that in cold weather. I switched fuel pump relay with no change.
Could it be the ISC relay??

It's suggested to change out both the fuel pump and ISC relays for the sealed ones. I have never had an issue starting in down to -23F weather with the Roc Toys ones.MY viper will start when I heat it up, starts with no problem. Can't count on that in cold weather. I have a 2020 Viper and have always had an issue with it starting cold. Not weather wise, but just in general. I was told it's just how the sled starts. On a side question, Would a straightline header and exhaust help? I noticed that if you crack the throttle the sled turns over faster. I was wondering if with the less exhaust pressure help? And I had already had the sled checked for current flash. Sled came with the updated ECU flash.

My viper never started well in the cold as well,I'd stick a hair dryer under the hood for half hour.

While working on many yamaha sleds in the a/c chassis , I found a thing to do by accident that helps start these with issues described,& hard starting vipers. turn the key off wait 10 seconds , try restarting machine with the brake lever pulled in. most of them will fire right off everytime , let me know if it helpsMY viper will start when I heat it up, starts with no problem. I have a 2020 Viper, same issue as everyone else, fires right away in the summer time, anything at or below 50 degrees, not necessarily freezing, and it struggles to start. New plugs, new gas, pulled the valve covers and confirmed both intake and exhaust valves are in spec. Battery kept on tender and sounds like its turning everything over at a good speed. Havent tested resting battery voltage yet. I will try the brake lever thing but I can't imagine how it could be connected in any way. Any other suggestions? Is there a test to see if a coil could be weak? It seems to run fine if you can get it started. Same as others, if you crank it long enough without it starting you usually get a shotgun blast backfire. While working on many yamaha sleds in the a/c chassis , I found a thing to do by accident that helps start these with issues described,& hard starting vipers. turn the key off wait 10 seconds , try restarting machine with the brake lever pulled in. most of them will fire right off everytime , let me know if it helps

I found out that these viper engines from 2020 are spec'd and produced for the jet ski industry. Thats why they do not recommend turbos on them. I wonder if that is the reason for the hard starts in the cold. As stated above anything above 50 degrees and it starts no problem.
