2023 Yamaha Snowmobile line up

My Dad is a 100% trail rider. He spring ordered an XTX for this winter. I tried to convince him to get an LTX GT with EPS. I thought he was making a mistake, but he is absolutely smitten with the XTX.

I tried it recently and I really enjoyed it too. Much more than I thought I would.

I think the xtx is the best all arounder to be honest. Its got alot of fun factor to it. It gives up very little to a 137 in the trails. easy to rack 100's of miles a day on and does great off trail. Good sled to cover all the bases.

I ordered an LTX, mostly for the power steering. If the SRX had power steering that would have been my order.
I have been eyeballing the STX for long distance and saddle bag riding.
It looks like now the X-TX may come with power steering.

I am getting ready to cancel my LTX order which has yet to arrive. What to order instead?
I do have a 2020 ZR 8000 that I rode this year that I have started to like for local riding. Do I keep it and get the STX? Do I sell the ZR and get the X-TX? another L-TX? An SRX?
I am hoping to wait for Yamaha's and Cat's official release's then cancel my current order and go from there.
I know the prices will increase but I also cant see paying out @18k for a sled that is going to be a year old when I finally throw a leg over it.
I realize I could be in the same boat next year but am willing to chance it.

How much do you value handling, especially on our tight VT trails? The XTX will lift the skis even easier than our RTX sleds. I rode my Dad's in the NEK, and I loved it on those trails. I wish I could have tried it in the twisties. It is really fun to nail it and lift the skis at will. I would imagine that it would be hard to keep them down with a tune.

For long trips I think the XTX is hard to beat. Long tunnel for storage, nice ride, taller seat, and my Dads machine gets better gas mileage than an LTX or RTX for some reason.

If I were ordering a 2023 Cat, it would be the Riot. We will see what Yamaha has to offer.

I look at the new sleds online then look at the price and close my browser.
Just insane on prices.

Ya the photo is a over a year old. Shown to give cat owners high hopes. It would make way too much sense to include it on the sleds.

Unfortunately this is sounding like a repeat of the Yamaha times from ‘10 until present. “Just wait until next year, they will be coming out with something new.”
