Well I picked up a left over 2024 SRX in August for a sweet deal, Now for the problem the boost hose on the left side is cracked at the intercooler end and the sales person and dealer owner took pictures and send to Yamaha for warranty claim. This sled lived in the crate until I purchased it and never saw the day of light until it was loaded for the trip home. Yamaha Canada has denied a claim saying that it is not affecting performance. Like holy crap what about quality control, so what I'm asking is if anyone had the hose(s) changed under warranty and if someone has any proof so that I can deal with Yamaha to have it done. I can't believe that this is their answer for a brand new sled that has never left the crate till now. Thanks in advance for any help. Think snow!!!

I purchased a 23 xtx le with the same issue. I have replaced them with TD charge hoses but was told that Yamaha is well aware of the problem. They said just to drop it off if i wanted them changed under warranty. Dealer was useless had to track down a Yamaha rep.

It is best to upgrade the charge tubes to silicone, especially the one that is on discharge side of the intercooler leading to the plenum. If you do a boost leak test you would see how much that particular OEM hose/tube swells , I was shocked to see amount of swell from that stock hose/tube even a stock maximum boost pressure.
Just do yourself a favour and upgrade to the silicone charge tube/hoses from many of the sled performance dealers . I know it sucks to have to replace a new part....but there will be a few more upgrades you will need to do to make your sled that much more reliable .
Cheers

I know what your saying as I put some orange Turbo dynamic hoses last year on my 2020 when they developed cracks but holy crap this thing hadn't seen the day of light yet, I'm going to see the dealer tomorrow and maybe we can make a deal on some gold Hurricane hoses. It is best to upgrade the charge tubes to silicone, especially the one that is on discharge side of the intercooler leading to the plenum. If you're going to tune the sled , these are a must, besides the premature dry rot which I have also seen , I've seen that tube burst at the side seam.....I know it sucks, brand new sled never seen daylight and the charge tube is already trash....good money paid for a sled and this ....but regardless upgrade to silicone.
Good luck

I don’t disagree with no1be4me, however don’t back off your fight against Yamaha. All the OEMs are using garbage sourced parts these days and think it’s ok. Push haters against Yamaha and don’t let up.

2. It will get worse.
3. Yes, many others have received factory replacement under warranty.
4. It's just plain wrong for dealer/Yamaha to have an attitude like that.
5. If your dealer thinks it's ok, what else are they willing to look past?
6. Should just get it over with and put silicone ones on.

Just to finalize my post, I spoke with the dealer owner last month to voice my displeasure and he wasn't aware of the refusal from Yamaha since it was the sales department that had handled the claim and lo and behold 2 weeks later I had a new hose waiting at the dealer. My brother picked it up for me so I'm not sure if Yamaha covered it or the dealer ate the cost.
