Check your fuel/air screws, they come set up a little screwy from Japan. It's A Emissions thing.

Just 3-7 seconds on full choke & then totally off is what a Yamaha tech told me!
3-4 seconds if not too cold out & 5-7 if very cold out!!!
If the sled falls on its face after you shut choke off then raise your idle screw a little til it stays near 1300-1500 rpm cold!
Should idle near 1800 when warm!
Been flawless for 2 sleds & total of 5500 miles!

1800 when warm hu?
Hmmm, I bounce anywhere between 1400 and 1600 when warm now (I know, might need to have my carbs synced). After I have that done, I might try bumbing the idel up to 1800 when warm.

Install a set of flo commanders Tfin. Your carbs will always be synced. And you have so much more adjustability with the jets(up to 3 sizes with a turn of the screw). I thought it wouldn't make that much difference but it does. I am pouring so much fuel at my vector it will hardly idle when warm but boy what a difference when you get on the gas.

Well the mileage I am not sure of because I had them installed before I put a mile on the sled. I have been getting around 16-17 MPG but I drive to the bar alot of the time. the link is: http://flo-commander.com/index2.html. I think the total package is around $342. Roughly $143 for the pilot and $143 for the main.

Cool thanks, I'll have to check them out. Might be a good summer project!
