Thanks for all the info.
I will be keeping my eyes open for a entire RR skid to put in my Viper someday.Should eventually be affordable.

Four wheel rear axles are the only way to go for hard trail riding and jumping.

You could probably just buy the axle, hardware and two extra wheels listed for the XC version of the Sno-Pro 600 race sled. If I had a Viper, I'd be getting really friendly with my Cat dealer because they are going to be far more familiar with the chassis and what parts interchange than a Yamaha dealer. Plus it is likely the Cat parts will be less expensive and in stock.

Just ordered the Arctic Cat kit for extra rear wheels. Not as nice looking as the aftermarket ones but a little cheaper. AC recommends the kit for studded sleds? Part number is 6639-617, lists for $90.

J&T products has a 4th wheel kit also to replace the tri-hub very nice kit . Haven't got my kit yet but he really knows what he's talking about , so you get all 4wheels and spacers and you can upgrade to 7.5 wheel
With the AC kit you just get the outter two wheel and leave the tri-hub

Won't work. It's a little different setup from the true XC skid.AKrider said:You could probably just buy the axle, hardware and two extra wheels listed for the XC version of the Sno-Pro 600 race sled. Oh, I didn't know that. Sounds like Cat has a kit though.
