4th wheel kits

Dean's stuff is the best. I think I might have mentioned that. I will tell him that tomorrow when I meet him in TRF.

I went with turbo dynamics 4 wheel kit. They are 8.4 for the LTX

There are a few nice kits, but I think getting all four wheels that look the same and come as a unit will be the better route. But you do pay for it. But after spending 11,500 plus dollars on a new sled I think it's worth it to buy something that will last.

4th wheel

Was at D&D saturday asking if they had the extra 2 wheels and spacers in stock in black, they took an orange wheel kit apart went out in the shop and came back with the wheel, spacers and bolts.
Solved my problem and many thanks to them.

Going down to D&D in the morning to bolt their 4th wheel kit on my viper. Just put studs in today and was pleased with the hook up but I feel the 4th wheel will help a lot with traction too as all the studs on the outside of the track will be drove hard in the ground in comparison to not that much force on them.

It should help you with traction. Hope the kit and studs work out good. I'm not going to stud my track. That's why I got a bigger track.

The loose snow conditions today actually couldn't hardly tell the sled was studded. Lined up the viper with studs and xf without studs and the viper only pulled out on it a little which it was doing before the studs anyways. I am very impressed with the ripsaw 2. Everyone that drove the xf without studs couldn't believe how good it hooked up. But with the trails I ride and the little bit of racing I do I need to have studs. Mainly for safety but traction is always a plus

Ya I just don't like studs. I got the ice ripper 1.6 lug track. So hopefully that will hook up pretty good. The ripsaw track is a good track and last a long time. I just didn't want studs but I know I needed something more than 1.25 lug track. Must be nice to have a lot of snow!

Our snow conditions aren't very good. We have snow on the ground but not enough to really go anywhere, mainly enough to mess around in the fields. It's great that we actually do have some snow to test on tho cuz it's gives the guys a good chance to get some time in before the Old Forge Shootout which is next weekend. Then we will see how the viper will be able to compete in stock form. Not sure yet which class it will be running in. I know the nytro was in the 600 class 1 year atleast. Would almost be a shame to put the viper in a class with 600s lol

Well with the power to weight ratio it should be in the 600 class. I'm excited to hear the results of that test. Here in Minnesota we are suppose to get a little snow here but maybe not enough to get any accurate testing done.

I'll check it out, but I already bought a set.

I decided to just run the Tri-Hub and let Yamaha pay for it when it fails. Is unfathomable that Yamaha and AC are running it this year. Maybe they put some super bearings in them or something. Will find out. I will save my $ for a race or RR skid in meantime.

Does the track need to come off for install on these?

I don't think so, but the install video I watched they had the skid out.
