I guess I'm going to mod my grizz. I can't see spending $2700.00 to boot for a new 700. I ordered the parts today for it. I ordered a wisco high compression piston, and a raptor stage 1 cam. I hope every thing works out well with it. Is anyone using the stage 1 camin their grizz?

If you mod that way youll need a pipe. If you dont buy one your wasting your time I reccomend HMF full exaust. I had the same thing done and no power until I piped it and installed K&N air filter and TPI valves in the air box.
Dont forget to re-jet.

I was looking at the mud buster cam verus the hot cam stage 1 raptor cam. there wasn't that much diff between the 2, but maybe the little diff their is ,is going to be enough to have to add the exhaust system.

For 08, Yamaha is offering the 700 without power steering. It saves you 600 up here in Canada. That's over half the 1100 difference between the 660 and 700 here. A factory 686 with FI and no power steering might be a bit more affordable.

thanks for the info on the non power steering, but I just finished installing the 686 big bore kit. So far very happy with it. I can't wait until it's broke in so I can get on it and see what it does. My brother has a 07 grizz 700, so far mine seems to have alot more mid range.
