7 inch "bigscreen" GPS(Garmin 2757) on Sidewinder/Crash pad

Only issue with Copi-trail is it Works off of cell towers not satellite.

I have the copitrail setup and can confirm that is not the case. It has a GPS module which handles all of the gps signal via satellite and does not require you to have cell service. The cell service is ONLY used to see the location of your buddies with copitrail. If you want to run copitrail with an ipad mini that does NOT have cell service the trail maps and gps speed calculations will still function properly.

You are correct. I read this post earlier and was going to reply later on tonight but glad you did before me.

Looks like the Garmin DriveSmart 61 NA LMT might be the way to go now with currently available models. I really like the edge to edge screen, I wonder though if it can be made water resistant like the 2797?
Looks interesting. Only though if rammount makes a cradle for it. Gonna see what I can find. I'm guessing they don't yet or won't at all.

Yeah that Copi-trail is bad-Azz! Very cool to see all your buds on your map too. I think that is the only option that needs cell towers, so that will be intermittent, but the rest all works without. GAP has alot of tech into this system, and will likely bring it to the 900t doo as well.

I do like my 2797....no NUVI is waterproof though, I siliconed the edges of screen just for those wet snow type days, never had any issue and its got quite wet at times...I do cover the speaker grills(backside) with vinyl for snowdust...still can hear no prob too. I run trakmaps SD card for Ontario maps, and also Qc maps....flawless and has turn by turn when needed....The big screen becomes amazing when you need to tap on screen or do menu items when riding, these type things cannot be done with any smaller screens. I had several smaller sizes before the 7" and this is best. Saves lives on snowy lakes where you cannot see, keeps you out of river mouths. Everyone usually follows me in heavy snow situations on our large lakes, as I can see the bigscreen perfectly no matter how low the visibility is.

This is the big problem , GPS are easy to find....but RAM only makes a few mounts/cradles for certain models, and the 7" cradle is a quick release, to take inside and not needing to unplug any wires....this is why you simply cannot beat the 2797 and other diesel models which are same body style.

Confirmed that RAM does not make a mount (as far as I can tell no one else does either) for the DriveSmart 61...

I too was looking at the drivesmart 61 it’s a gorgeous unit packs a lot of punch and has a superb
screen
I went with an older unit as perRockerDan’s suggestions
Simply to get a RAM MOUNT. IDon’t like the claw style mount they offer. I went with a Nuvi 68LM
for 100$ CAD. I couldn’t find an affordable 7 inch model.

Is there a mount with power for this model too?
