Is this the correct Yamaha belt to use as an alternative?

I talked to my dealer and he told NOT to run it, he was telling me about his Yamaha tech class and they said there will be issues if you run the 8dn belt, it's 3/8" shorter, it's wider, and the cone shape is not correct. I will sit back and watch others for awhile before I jump on that band wagon. Just the info I was given, and my opinion to sit this one out.

Idk man, i was told by my dealers head tech, not to use it. I was in there talking to him about the turbo bolts, belt blowing issues, and flat rollers.um the 8dn is longer by a few mm not shorter.

DITTO,and same width,it is same angle to,this guy does not have a clue.um the 8dn is longer by a few mm not shorter.
