What's the difference between an 8DN belt that belt number ends wit a 00 and one that ends with a 01??

I read somewhere a year or two back that it was a softer compound (the 01 ). Something about the belts were squealing or something like that.

I thought the part # just changed last year to "-01-00" I cant comment on the physical changes on the superceeded belt/part # though.
8DN-17641-01-00 is the new part #
8DN-17641-00-00 is the old part# that was superceeded

i thought it was slightly narrower to make it so you would not have to adjust the secondary bolts/washers.

The change was to the shape of the mold at the outer edge of the belt. There should be no performance difference.
