A comparison between MPI & Push

I just thought this was interesting, For this years amsnow Shootout when the vipers were sent to dynotech for hp numbers the out of the box stock viper made 126hp, then they had a viper that just had the trail turbo installed. At 5 pounds of boost the trail turbo made 180 hp, just thought it was very interesting that mpi's kit made over 10 hp per pound of boost. Now this was done on two different sleds so it's not totally accurate, but both sleds were brand new. Maybe with the trail turbo it was just the luck of the draw and they go a good sled or maybe the mpi kit is really that much more efficient. Track dynos are good to as you can see what's helping or hurting, but there's so many limiting factors by the time the power gets to the track, the engine hp with a stock base run is what these turbo kits should be showing in my opinion since the track dyno is greatly influenced by the tuner and not so much how much power the sled is making.

Take a close look at the shape of the air box between the two, flow matters even in a boost environment. Now I am not saying that is all the difference, but shape of the box does matter. And I like what MPI has done to the final version of there air box.
