I am hooking up my Oil Pressure Gauge and the sender is quite large, and in order to connect it I would have to use a tee, 2 couplers and a 90 degree elbow to make it fit. Even with all that the elbow would sit to close tot he bottom of my sled for my liking. Along with I don't like all that weight hanging off 4 or 5 threads in the block.
Anyone know of a second spot on this motor that I may be able to get a relatively accurate Oil pressure reading?
Thanks guys!!

TVB, did you check out NLVMAXs thread in the 4strock garage section? He's got the same gauge setup and runs it off the the same area..check his out.

Ya.... The only issue is his sender is about half the size of mine.... Different gauge so different sender. I'm thinking I might try a Oil Filter Adapter, it's like a little spacer that goes between the filter and block, then has a fitting for the sender. I have used one on my mustang before, then I just ran a stainless flex-line over to the sender and mounted it on the frame. I'm thinking that might be a safer setup here.

Couldn't you just do the same thing with the stock location??? Run a line over to the frame and then have your tee setup? You would end up with both senders on the end of the line......

I suppose your right I could.... I was just trying to leave the stock sender as is... Didn't know if it would affect anything? Like if the pressure was a bit lower (with it being 8in away from the motor) I didn't want to give the ECU and false reading, but I don't really know if it would or not.

What about using the hole on the front of the block which is used for checking the oil pressure after an oil change is performed?

I didn't know of such a hole.... I had a glance at the front but didn't see any thing. Where abouts is it located?

On the upper left hand portion of the cylinder head if you are looking from the front of the sled.
