A straight answer

Has anyone tried the Hyperfax on their Nytro? Supposed to not melt under 750 deg F. Regular slides melt at 350 deg F.

I was thinking the same thing? This thread reminds me of DooTalk back in 05 when the SC4 Suspension came out and everyone was burning off hyfax in 500 miles. Everyone crying that no other brand had this problem....hmmm, looks like it happens to other brands too....

I switched to Hyperfax in 06 on my 144" Renegade. Over 13,000km and never had an issue, they still looked like new! Extrovert drivers, loose (way loose) track and $180 Hyperfax sliders and RIDE.

Hope my new XTX hasn't got these issues.... ;)!

Just got another email from Yamaha. To quote Scott of Yamaha Customer service, "...we sincerely hope [the competition] will be better able to meet your needs."

He basically told me to shove it and buy from BRP or Polaris if I'm not happy with the way Yamaha is treating me!! What's up with that?

In Sales along with many other professions sometimes you have to fire a client.

I have done a couple of times. I did not like doing it but it had to be done.
No one likes giving up business or losing revenue.

There can be numerous reasons from the client being an azzhole right to genuinely believing that the client would be better suited dealing elsewhere as it appears is the case here.

Good luck with your next sled. I would agree with your assessment, You have been booted off the Yammie Island by Mr Harrison. I am sure you probably can figure out why.

Hey Easy Rider, I hope my new 09 XTX doesn't have these issues either. That being said do you know where one can find these Hyperfax Sliders? ;)!

Wow, I must be bored, I don't even own a Nytro, but read this entire thread anyway.
Glad I did, because when I saw the pics, I could see why your hyfax don't last very long.
They are definately doing all the work!
That is a long span from the 4 front idlers to the back axle. Don't think any other Yammie susp. designs put that much faith in the hyfax. i could see putting in at least 2 pair of idlers in that long span from front to back.
My experience has been with a Viper and an 08 vector, which both wore pretty fast at 1st in specific areas, but then always gave me at least 2000 miles of use.
Good luck.

wheels will take care of it

have over 2000 miles and they still look like new!!!
put some extra wheels in there my friend.

This is just a case of extremely poor customer service. Mr. Harrison is the one that should be fired. Everything was fine until he lied to me that my sled was goig to be fixed. I don't think I was rude to him; I told him that my "reliable new Yamaha" was broke and I wasn't happy with how I was beig treated. Because of him and the dealers I've dealt with I will never buy another Yamaha.

Doogs,

I have read all your posts and I must say despite your displeasure you have maintained your composure and have not show any AZZHOLE factor. Well done.

I agree it does not appear you have been treated well but it looks to me that the dealer is the one you have an issue with, not Scott. Scott was clear, Warranty issue, he would fix it. You said dealer told you and him there was no problem. What is he to do when the dealer is telling him there is no problem that needs fixing?

I am not sure why you went from the dealer directly to Scott. What happened with the step above the dealer? The district service rep.

I only have ever had one iffy issue with Yamaha and that was with my 04 Warrior running hot. Warranty department would not cover anything with my dealer. My dealer then arranged for me to meet the district service
rep to show him. He was first rate when he saw the issue. After meeting with him,Yammie supplied me with an additional rear heat exchanger, dealer covered the labour and I paid for additional stud protection. Yammie even bought me a new pair of boots.

I think you should take one more kick at the cat.

If you are sure you have an issue, which you seem to be, I suggest you ask a dealer, preferably not your current one, or Scott, if the district service rep would have a look at your sled next time he is in the area.
Maintain your composere and respectful attitude as you have here and based on my experiences you should end up happy.

One more piece of advice. Never ever again buy a first year sled From any manufacturer. Been here done that too many times. Too often the"leading edge" turns in ti the "bleeding edge" for the customer.

Good Luck,

Rice
