Adding inline fuel filter

The fuel filter referenced in this thread is no longer available. Would this one work? It shows 88 GPH at 61.4psi and it already comes with 5/16" fittings. Seems like 88 GPH would be enough.

I would also buy their Vapor Guard hose clamps but I don't know if the hose on my 2017 is actually 5/16" ID (which is just slightly smaller than 8mm... 7.9375mm to be exact).

A 280HP tune needs 17 gal per hour at 9000 RPM WOT.

So you guys have had these inline filters installed for a few years now. What is the verdict on filtration? Have you seen debris when cleaning the filter? I'm going this route with the new 24' sled as I saw debris in the tank while changing the pump even before I had a chance to run the sled.

Yes. Stainless steel element cleans nicely with brake cleaner. Yes, I can see discoloration in rinsed/blown off brake clean so there is some foreign material filtered out by element, very fine particle size.
Strainer is about 40-45 micron.
Filter is 10 micron.
My fuel injector cleaning company told me these injectors will pass anything smaller than about 30 micron. If particles are bigger than 35 they can hang up and contaminate the injector.
Might depend on where one buys their gas? In the boondocks, I doubt those places have much for filtration. That in-line one we see in the hose is often in bypass since it's many years old and never gets changed. I bet those filters are almost like the strainers in gas tank; 40-45 micron.

I've read this entire post and I'm wondering if the stock gas filters in the tank are removed when installing new in-line fuel filters?
I have a 2017 LTX-LE with only 16k km

No. A. It won't hurt to leave it in. B. It's not a filter, it's only a screen. 50-70 micron. Just leave it.

I've read about some having issues with the in tank screens getting clogged up.

I've not seen that over 8 years. If you have that going on, I suggest changing your gas station! All certified gas stations must have filters on their hoses.
I have checked my in-tank filters multiple times times over past 8 years. Zero debris.

I would not remove the stock ones.

Found this rub mark on the protective shield. I strapped a zip tie to pull it closer but I'm a bear leary on the zip tie rubbing through those oil lines. Probably about 2500 miles on it.

Yup, I've noticed that one also. That protective metal sleeve is pretty good though. But I still did same as you to make sure.
