Has anyone added warranty to their Viper after a couple of years? My warranty expires next January and worried about the starter issue if it is not fixed as seems like a large job and don't want this to come out of my pocket. Just had my first starter go out last weekend at just over 1,100 miles. Is it a costly option? Thanks in advance.

As my dealer told me when I put on the extra 5 yrs of YES if u are still in warranty it is no problem. When I added the extra 5yrs it was I think around 900 ish USD for my 2014 and the same price for my dads 2015. But I do believe there was a sale going on when I bought it so it could be more now. It has already payed for itself I had the starter let go to and that would have been $1500 to fix it...

So you added 5 years or you extended it to 5 years? I had 3 years when I bought it and wondering how much more I can add.

Yeah not sure how that would work as I am up in Canada. I know when I bought my quad down in the states when our dollar was stronger my warranty was not valid up here.

Really, just talked to my dealer and she is thinking for adding one more year it is going to cost around $1,000. Not sure if it is worth that or not.

I'll wait to hear back from her but that is what I was thinking that it was a little steep.

At your cost it would be like $4000 can for four years and even if I had to pay the exchange rate it still would be less then $800 can
That's more then a little steep... More like a 1000 meter drop off LOL

I'm in nova Scotia and the most they said I could add was 2 years for 1200$ or just one year for 900$.

Really, that seems pricey to me. Was thinking $3-400 a year or so. Might just have take my chances and hope the new starter is good to go.

I believe the max term is 5 years... 1 year factory and the ability to purchase up to an extra 4 years... If when you bought it, it already had a couple extra years tacked on the warranty then you may only be entitled to add up to the 5 year mark...

Which I have no problem with having the 5 years but for $1,200 like Trevor was saying is it worth it? Love the sled and want to keep it as finally have it setup for my riding style perfectly but this whole starter thing scares me if the new gear isn't the fix.
