Hey guys just a heads up if your viper starts hard or kicks back when starting it will be costly. First ride of the season on a brand new 2014 viper deluxe at 47 miles it broke starter and wrecked fly wheel stater etc,all pieces down in oil pan!!Over 3000.00 in repairs (warranty of course ) come to find out recall was not done as I was told it was.

Exactly the same issue that I already had with my ltx se 2014. I think is the kicks back and the reflash recall will solved this issue

So did Yamaha fix it under warrenty or replace motor or sled? I am really not good with the metal peices floating around in the base as we drove home 50 miles.Exactly the same issue that I already had with my ltx se 2014. I think is the kicks back and the reflash recall will solved this issue

Yamaha did fix it under warrenty. They didn't replace my motor. Ideally they should remove the oil pan, clean all and make sure no debris in it. If you drove 50miles afet this issue, hope for you the magnet had catched this metal pieces before they dropped into the pan.
