Seems more complicated than it should be. I have a UPS account with my business and would prefer to use them. Any experience and advice sending ECU to Turbo Dynamics? Customs issues? Thanks!!!

For now ECU reflash is only directly through TD direct. The Dealer is cable won't be ready right away.
I could be a week but could also be 2-3 weeks hard to say.
Shipping to Canada I recommend any courrier like Fedex, Purolator, DHL. Avoid UPS if possible, they charge us fees sometimes.
Make sure to not put a value on the ECU because they could tax us on it (as if we were buying it). Make sure you mark ECU sent in for repair in the description.
USPS works too, but takes much longer. By Courrier figure 2-4 business days. 2-3 days for east coast and 2-4 days for midwest.
We will turn them around quick.

Anything going to Canada on UPS ground you can expect a $30-ish brokerage fee on the back end. If you use one of the UPS faster services the fees are included. I would probably use UPS express or expedited (weigh the cost/time benefits) myself for the better insurance and tracking. I would also do it either yesterday or after the Holidays as transit times and shipments get all screwed up this time of year.

I don't recommend UPS. The reason being we have a large account with them. Surprisingly we get more charges than a regular customer when it comes to import and brokerage fees. Because they can bill me blind and add extra fees (get invoice a month later)...Anything going to Canada on UPS ground you can expect a $30-ish brokerage fee on the back end. We have yet to lose an ECU in all the years of buying and selling in the US. Odds are 1 in 10 000 of total loss and 1 in a 1000 of temporary loss (they find it later). So insurance for me is just another tax but that is entirely your decision. If you put a value on the package (for insurance or other reason) they can tax us on it.
We recommend fed ex or DHL they are the quick.
