Ok, if I can't find someone who wants to trade my 07 rtx skid for their mono, I am going aftermarket. I have experience with m10 but not on a rider forward frame. What is the experience with AD Boivin and M10 on a 121 Apex? What characteristics does the Boivin have?

What gives? Why do you want to trade your 07' (CK) for a mono?

My riding style has become more mellow over the years. I thought I could adjust the skid to be more plush. It comes close, but when I hit rough trails now I just slow down. It is easier to add to the ati-bottoming characteristics of coil over springs (dual springs etc) than to get a plusher ride from a torsion spring suspension. My brother has an M10 and although it is slower, and it doesn't transfer weight, the M10 is very impressive for being great in both small stutters and large moguls.

I agree MONO is plush as it gets....i love the ride....

also agree the Boivin expert is a killer aftermarket skid...this is what I would go with if you go aftermarket.

The M10 is a great suspension - but it is alot like the Mono Spring. You have to do alot of tweaking and testing the first year of riding to get it to fit YOU !
I've been a poo owner since 1991 and have set up many M10's. The trick is to be honest with Fast about your weight and riding style. Setting the "sag in" is very important to the ride. And if you are a bigger guy (240+ pds) you will probably want to revalve the shocks for extra weight. By the way - get regular Fox shocks in it. They are cheaper, and easier to work with, and give just as good of ride as the Ohlens.
I've never tried the Expert suspension, but would like to.
