I just took a pair of c&a outlaws off my phazer, trying to tame it down for my girlfriend to start riding and was wondering how they would be on my viper? I thought I read somewhere that this chassis doesn't like really aggressive skis so before I spend the money on a mounting kit I thought I would ask the pros. Thanks

I have C&A XTX skis on my XTX and I love it. It corners like its on rails, very little darting, off trail they don't float as well as my sly dogs did on my nytro but still not bad.

X2

Actually on the Viper and Cat chassis, you probably will have less of an issue than on some other sleds due to the chassis light steering effort. You may have to increase the front skid shock preload if it feels too heavy. Outlaws would not be my choice but hell, if you already have them, give them a shot. It's all rider preference.

Yeah very true, my other option would be to sell them and put some tuners or pilots on.

2blue4u I think the outlaws are comparable to the xt. Don't the xtxs only have an 1" center keel?

I just put the tuners on my LTX. Sunday will be the first ride with them will let you know how they work out

I know you have a different ski but I have curves on mine. Handles very well. The steering is a bit tougher but the performance is worth it. I can say this, it steers much easier than my Nytro with the same skis.

My C&As are awesome! Had them on all my sleds including now the Viper. Great for water crossing too! :sled1:

Yeah let me know how the tuners work out. I may just try to put my outlaws on. Can't hurt to try

I've put 40 miles on with the stockers... if my hardware kit comes in tomorrow I'll be putting on 100 miles or so with the curves. Im hoping they make as dramatic of a difference as they did on my Apex.

I've also been wounding about the curves as well, kind of expensive though

I cant speak as to how they'll work on teh Viper, but on my Apex they were worth twice the price to me. It was a night and day difference between the stockers.

Also have the C&A XTX on my Viper xtx, and it corner really well, float good on powder, and very little darting. What I don't like is too much heavier steering effort.

For thoses who have them, how is set your suspension? And what about steering effort beside the stockers?
