Air filter modules

I've run in deep pow with Ulmer's K&N Filter Kit on, no issues at all with snow clogging them, just make sure you secure them well with zip ties or a support bracket if you intend to do some bangin around. They sound pretty neat too, a nice low growl compared to stock, and you can hear them sucking air at idle, and even a few seconds after you shut off the engine. Also, not absolutely necessary to adjust the ECU with these and an exhaust mod. Mine seems to work even better now, with smoother throttle response and more pull all the way to top end. Thanks Allen ;)!

Do you have a support bracket? Have you had a problem with them falling off?

the sucking noise you hear actually is the crank case vent breathing out pressure from the motor after it is shut off.

a stocker does it as well. but you can hear it better due to the placement of the vent filter with the K&N kit from ulmer. no big deal, it's just venting. ski

I used zip ties, LOTS of them, and secured each filter to the surrounding frame. Another important thing is to make sure the clamps around the rubber intake boots are tightened well, and don't forget to remove the spacers in the clamps, this allows the clamps to squeeze down tighter.
