Is it better to let the air out of the shocks (some or all the air) for summer storage or just leave it where you have them set? Tried doing a search but came up empty on the subject.

I bet you're coming up empty 'cause no one has ever questioned this. I havn't.
If you're really interested, I do nothing with the air in my floats.
Can't say if I'm right or wrong. But that's what I do and I've never heard any different.

My first year I took most of the pressure out. I left 10psi so that nothing inside was sticking to itself. And took all the weight off the front and back shocks. Then last year I did nothing to the front stocks except for take the weight off.

I also don't know what is the right thing to do.

I treat them the same as my coil over shocks.

Me too, mostly. I leave a little pressure on them, and soak them down pretty good with WD-40, especially in the area of the shaft and seal.
