Here is a pick of an all balls jack shaft bearing that was in the bearing kit. The pic shows how little grease are in the bearings. This bearing is brand new out of the kit. I just greased it up good and put the seal back on. Hopefully it should last.
If you buy these bearing just make sure you check and make sure they are greased well, or grease it yourself.

Oh crap.....I just changed out ALL of the bearings on my Vector with the ones found in the All Balls Kits.
I think I got more work to do!

It seems like any bearing that dosn't get flooded with oil, should have some sort of a remote greasing system. That wouldn't be difficult to develop. hmmm maybe I could retire!
I will never put those all balls bearings in anything I own again they are junk. The bearing race will get pitted they are good for one year.

Not the first time nor this site only that I have repeatedly heard this.


I think Parts Unlimited brand is even worse!Not only do they rust the races but the fit is as sloppy as a wore out stock bearing.Stick with good bearings for sure.Job sucks so why have to do it more than needed.

Pulled the seals off of both drive side bearings and they are full of grease. Don't know what I can do!!??
Yamaha bearings went out on my at 3000 miles so I guess its a crapshoot.

I pull the grease seal and use this tool pictured below for greasing bearings. It does a great job pushing grease in under retainer between the balls moving around a few locations until grease works its way thru bearing. Have not had to replace a single bearing (jackshaft/secondary shaft) on all three sleds in the last few years. It even pushes out the water while injecting the grease. I bought this tool years ago for greasing the bearing in my Ingersoll Rand air tools (Impact guns and impact ratchets) using superblue high temp wheel bearing grease in the gun. Oh also I will only use Yamaha bearings, little more money goes a long way!

Just remember to not put too much grease in those bearings. They can heat up and pop the seal. Yamaha Tech Exchange #S2009-007 dated 10/28/2009 shows a bearing cap P/N 8FN-47377-00-00 for the Drive-Shaft bearing and recommends using a grease needle by inserting it in between the seal lip and the bearing inner race.

Correct me if I am wrong but why would you use Low Temp grease , I can see in the warm up mode it may work , but when the engine is spinning 12k that is not a low temp application I use syn bearing grease but not low temp.
