Which belt was the most consistent? When switching from belt to the other, which ran the highest RPM? Wouldn't the highest RPM indicate a degree of slipping? You didn't happen to notice which belt ran the coolest a far as clutch temp? I ask because I am seeing some inconsistent RPM's with my 8JP lately. I am going to try the 8DN and see if it stabilizes but am curios to see if any other belt has more "bite"

I have been running the gates g force version of the 8jp for two seasons. I find it has more grip and less dust. They are cheaper than the yammie 8jp.

Stain - From my standpoint, the 8JP is very inconsistant, especially after a couple hundred miles. Time to switch....
The 8DN seemed to run a couple hundred more rpm than the Gates carbon fiber belt. Temp between the 2 were the same with little to no belt dust from either one and clutches look like they should, shiny with no black or dark gray color.
Slipping depends on which clutch kit you are running and yes.....if you are running stock clutching, the 8JP slips like crazy on top. But here again, I took the 8JP and put it on my Nytro and because the clutching worked the way it's supposed too, the belt doesn't slip and it's one of the fastest Nytros out there. My son was unhappy cause he couldn't drive the Nytro testing one day cause I stole the 8DN belt from the Nytro....so I told him to remove the washers on the back of the secondary and just run the 8JP belt so he could ride around. Little did I know I made the Nytro run faster by doing this. Can you explain? Because I couldn't.... LOL

Looks like I'm going to be happy with my Ulmer trail clutch kit
