A guy wants to sell me this intake setup tomorrow. Why does it look it's coming up short, like it's missing an extension to go out to the front near the screen? Junk or what?

Alpha intake, the end with the clamp on it goes onto the sled, end with no clamp is where the air filter goes.

Is there a prefilter included (the blue sock in Spec's pic)?

Alpha didn't sell a prefilter in their kit, just the filter itself.

No that note, I wondered if this filter is available with an open top with pleated filter?
Question #2 does this filter require k&n style oil B4 install?!?!

I'm not sure who made the filter for Alpha, it is not a K&N filter. There may be a K&N with the attributes you are looking for, you'd have to just do some searching. I always ran them dry.

Thank you, Srxspec

B4 I button her up. What's the solution to prevent oil at valve cover from entering air intake?
