Alpha intake question

Small specre universal filter from o'rileys with a barb fitting is what i use on my sleds.
Hmmm.... I'm assuming you then cover that barb on the filter elbow? Wouldn't the oil just come out of that filter eventually. Hey, just checking....lol

Side note; I put a call in to Turbo Dynamics just to verify my thoughts. They no longer sell the Cai tunes. You just slap an open filter on and go.
My initial thoughts on the TD tunes were they are a tad bit rich from the smell of things.

B4 I button her up. What's the solution to prevent oil at valve cover from entering air intake?

Bought about 3 feet of hose. Removed old hose on top of valve cover installed new hose on valve cover and ran down next to my oil tank vent near right foot. Zero oil going into intake and no oil vapors going onto clutch if left open.

Yep, probably for the best. We need a vented catch can.

Never have had any oil come out the spectre filter, its mounted up along side the fuel return hose.

There is no oil that comes out of the valve cover vent hose. The vent hose from the valve cover goes right into the intake tube. Why are people overthinking this?

Sounds like a bunch of Ski-Doo dudes talking about catch cans, filters and stuff. There is a place to attach the vent hose to the intake, put it there....

If you have oil vapor, oil mist, or smoke fumes, or anything coming out of that hose, you need to rebuild your engine. You must have bad rings or piston problems causing excessive blowby.

Mine has oil coming out of it...ugh

Ehw....what to do now? Try a leak down test? I would honestly try to hobble her thru this season, if that's the case.

Pics from '22 had one funny looking plug & did a compression test. All three cylinders were 160psi using an AutoZone gauge. No oil on plugs.
Yes, cheap gauges can cause faulty readings. But the point would be, all equal. You think all cylinders would be down, evenly??

Do a leak down test
Yeah, know NYTurbo it's been doing it since day one. Others say "you'll get something out of there" so, idk....
I'll have to borrow one from AutoZone, I'm not sure if I'd even trust those results.
What a joke ...

Well..... A lot of guys get blow by through this tube. That doesn't make it right. Someone explained that if your oils too high that you'll get a little bit more than normal. And I run my oil high. Who knows. But as of now I'm not too worried.
Same applies to my Harley. If I don't run it a half quart low, s*** spraying everywhere.

Jt dont frett it much, with the hose hooked to intake track you will have oil in filter area because of vacume pull on rocker cover, with hose not hooked to intake track and a seperate filter on that hose no vacume pull no oil there.
