Ok so i installed a set of DNF's in my 08 RTX, i went with
Bolt,1 lock washer,3 washers-Heel
Bolt,1 washer,-Center
tip and overdrive empty
Sled is stock except a 1.5 track, My problem is im only seeing 8550rpm..in conditions which were heavy wet snow.
After talking with Turk last night he advised me to add one more washer to the heel and 1 in the Center..i just can't understand how adding weight will bring my RPM's up..but the profile of these weights is different then i've used before. I searched and found people who had the same problem but never found out what they did to fix it.
I noticed installing the weights that they were much tighter then the stock weights on the pins, didn't swing nearly as easy.
I hate to pull that red spring out again but it looks like i'll have no choice.
i know the conditions didn't help but i thought my rpm would be closer then 8550.
Anyone have any Advice?

If you are riding in wet heavy snow I would leave your calibration as is. Turk has extensive experience with H/C products and would not steer you in wrong direction. Perhaps start with additional washer in heel to see if it helps you if you don't care to remove your spring at this time to add washer to center position.

Blue, did you use the washers that come with the kit that go on the pin, next to the weight? If you used the stock plastic washers they will be tight, you must use the metal ones that came with the kit.

You told me you had weight in the tip & OD. You should be pulling more rpm,s with that clutching. If the weights did not swing as easily on the stock pins your rpm,s would be higher as the weight would have a hard time shifting out.It would do the opposite. Remove a washer from inner(centre) & add one to arm but your gonna overrev like mad on hardpack snow.

I used the spacer's that came with the kit..Im thinking it probley had a lot to do with conditions. i put a new belt on and it was alittle tight so i thought that might have something to do with it,Swapped it out for the older belt which has approx 2000km's on it(Alinement and deflection must be good) and RPM's didn't change. I think im going to leave it as is and try it again..the more i think of it..Big lug track,Heavy Snow, warm tempetures would all add up to lower RPM's. Plus i have K&N's on the way so if they work i'll probley make more power and pull this clutching setup.
I didn't think Turk steared me wrong..i just wasn't sure about adding weight to gain RPM and the profile of these weights are very different from anything i've used.
Thanks for the replys
