I know this topic has run its course but I just swapped in the new (red) relay. According to grizz's wire diagram, it shows 3 red wires and a blue. It also shows the relay to be the third from the front. Mine was in the first location according to the colors. Has anyone else ran into this?? I put the relay in the first spot due to the wire colors. Thanks. Oh. My sled is a 2013 xtx.

There is notes all over that the location of the relays differs from sled to sled... I changed out one already but I am changing all 3 over to the newer red ones on my sled.

Correct - wire colours are the best reference, not location.

Great. Thanks. I got lucky. It was the easiest to get to.

I completely remounted my relay holding bracket. I moved it to the nose down low where the original tool bag was located. I then used 1/8" thick rubber and covered the entire relay block and relays from side to side and covered the relays to keep snow and water from getting to them. I had step by step pics I was going to post but my phone took a crap last night in the middle of the night. Hopefully the Sprint store can retrieve all of my info and I can post. These things are a pain to change outside when it's cold. I also added the red relays.

Cool. I'd like to see how you mounted it.

There 4 relays. 3 are the same load relay, fuel relay, and fan relay. The headlight relay is different.

Would be interested to see pics of that if you get your phone recovered. Relays are tough to get at in the factory configuration.

They are right on the outside of the frame when you pull the RH Side Cover off aren't they? Or am I looking at the wrong relays?

They are on the right side but not that easy to get to. They are below the air box on the inside of the frame rail. I was able to retrieve my pictures from my old phone so I will be able to upload tomorrow if I can figure out how!!

I'm not trying to be a smartass, but on my 08 mtx I am 98% sure they are on the outside of the frame. My sled wouldn't start last feb @ -47C so I pulled it out and took it into the motel for a bit.
EDIT: Just googled a picture of them and remembered where I pulled it from. It wasn't too bad to get it out though.

I must be stupid! I just spent 2hrs creating a photobucket acct and got absolutely nowhere! Is there a way to upload photos without this service? Can I just copy and paste them? Sorry for the off topic post but I want to show how and where I moved my relay bracket.
I was trying to do this using my iphone.
