I am stretching my Phazer to a 136 for this winter so I thought I would document it.
Here is the track I will be using Its a 136x16x1.25 off a renegade.

Here is the cutting method I used.

Here is the cutting in progress after we got the technique down it went fairly easy.

Lat but not least here is the result.

It is now a 136x14.3x1.25.
Now to pick some rail extensions.

Great pics. It looked like it left you a really nice cut edge. You are going to feel like your sled has 30 more HP running that track.

Thanks Gone, I just hope I can float a little better, the added traction will just be a big bonus. Lol
Yes it left a really clean edge, better than I thought it would even.

So after cutting & then some use, what keeps the edges from fraying like some tracks I've seen do?
Do you melt/burn 'em or something?
My Freeride has some of the fibers showing in a couple spots...

My brand new Freeride had a few threads showing when I took it out of the box. I wouldn't worry about it.
Yes. Just burn them off if wanted.

My stock one has frayed at the edges also but not to the extent that I am worried about it. the process of cutting melted the edges quite a bit and it doesn't appear as though it is any more prone to fraying than a new track I did plan on putting some epoxy on the fiberglass rods just as a precaution.

Do you have to change out your drivers up front, or does that Gade track have the same pitch? I was thinking all Doo's had a different pitch.
Nice work!

Trimmed up and finished riviting the extension today and I decided to wrap the top of the tunnel also while I was at it.
Then I plastidipped part of the bumper to see what it would look like and I like it. The whole thing will be done when I find some tube to use to weld it up.
