Do you know if the engine changed at all? I was told the 2007 and 2008 models maybe have a different ecu? My ecu was updated in 2008. If a 2007-2018 will work that would sure broaden my search options

AFAIK, the engine itself didn't change however the ECU did change at some point. The main change was the addition of a low oil pressure warning, maybe in 2010 or 11, which would be a change in the ECU and gauge pod. It would give a "OP-Lo" message on the gauge when first started but would go away soon after unless there was an actual problem.
I know for sure that 07-09 ECUs are interchangeable except that the 07 and some 08 with part number ending in -00 is not updated for cold weather starting. Look for those ending in -10.
