Any word on the Dynojet Power Commander III?

No real gains running 87 octane and a stock air box. Now add a timing key, air box mods, and 91 octane fuel and you can see some gains. We are working on kits, but will not release anything until complete feild testing is finished.

Hmm, some gains. That sounds like it would'nt be much, maybe like less than 5 hp.
So how long for th field tests? mid winter?

With complete kit we are looking at 160+ hp. We will not release anything until around January 1st when we have had thorough time to test all calibrations.

160+ hp I'm interested now.
So the calibrations you speak of are what program to install on the powercomander?
So does 160hp= power comander, timeing key, and moded airbox? No other components like exhaust and such

Allen what degree key are you using, and are you rolling it back or ahead,3 degrees more or less,as i used hauchs ket that someone out here installed as a get r done kit and lost hp and speed, but it might of been the pipes or the fuel controler they were using,as it added only fuel,it did not remove any fuel... :-o

1xr, yes the calibration is the actual mapping through all the RPM ranges and possible loads on the motor. This requires a little bit of time to dial in completely.

Pete, we are advancing the timing and also leaning out and adding to the fuel curve slightly in areas. This kit will require 91 octane. For those looking for even more HP we will possibly have our air filter kit that made 2-3 hp more than the air box on top end and 5-8 hp more in the low end and midrange area.

Does a power comander come with the link cable and software to connect to my pc?
I have been told that it comes with a set progrm for what you want to do with, at least they are for bikes. Unelse my sourse is full of #*$&@.

I know for sure that PCIII's for motorcycles come with all the necessary cords and cables and software to download different maps, so I would assume this should too. I'm pretty sure you can also download right from the power commander site ! ;)!

The pcIII usb has a plug in ignition module for the R1 motorcycle, we can only hope that they will produce one for the apex as well. Dynojet takes forever to release new products on certin models.

With an ign. module you will be able to advance & retard ign. timing all along the complete rpm range along with adjusting fuel delivery.

Fuel maps can be downloaded from from any pc that has pcIII software installed & maps can be shared with many users however every engine is set up slightly differently & would greatly bennifit from haveing a custom map done @ a dyno.

Temp, alt. humidity @ time of mapping needs to be as close to real riding conditions to work best.
