was kinda wondering how these tanks skip never seen anyone do it on a apex, i'm not sure if it's for me can't afford to sink it seems a little more involved then just pulling the plugs on a two stroke

Dont sink it, only run if your extremely confident and practise on smaller water at first.

My attak runs like a champ, but had some sketchy experiences with wae getting on the belt. Im certain the water is getting there when the water splashed up on to the bottom of the running boards goes through the holes , then runs down the tunnel into the engine bay, which is then sucked up my the clutches very slightly. I have had this happen when suddenly the sled would power off while running (feels like the brakes put on) then the power would come back, but it would only go away for a second. This only happens when your sitting down while running, it never happens when standing, im thinking because your boots block where the water goes through the tunnel.

Not much water is sprayed by the sled due to the skis, so its not getting in through the cracks in the panels, and a video and still shots shows that no water is sprayed.

It runs water best at high speed, and will hold 150kmh over water easily.

My rtx goes great on water, very surprising. But like mentioned above, test on short skips first so you can see how your sled responds. My buddys rx1 mountain takes in water somewhere, each sleds different I guess.

I haven't had a chance to try My Apex yet as I just bought it, but I have been doing some work on it installing the Ulmer front end bushings. While working in the bulkhead area I notice that where the two bulkhead halves are bolted together that it is not a perfect mating surface, so there is good chance that this is were the water is coming in. I am going to seal this up before I close the area up.

water skipping

Do a search on DoktorC. He made a video of a few of us last winter.
I believe its called fun on the river.

I went for a shot last year on my turbo sled and almost sunk it, damn belt got wet and almost went down. If your gonna run it seal the belly pan up really well!

Make shure to tape left-bottom belly. There is gap between plastik and front bulk head

If you run long distances, take of your snow-flap and adjust transfer weight rod in loosest position.
