I've been considering getting a set of ice scratchers and most of the one's i see mount on the slide rails but it would seem these would fail to lube the fron t of the rails where most of the wear occurs.
Does anyone make the ski mounted ones anymore? Do the rail mounted scratchers lube the front rails sufficiently? Any feed back would be appreciated

They are available from Hartman Inc. I use them when lake running late in ther season when the snow is gone or turned to ice and they work great.

Ive been ruing the ski mounted scratcher for 2 seasons. they seem to work fine I make my own version of the Hartman scratcher and with that type if you back up on snow they will roll around if you do it on ice they will break

do a search on here . A guy has got instuctions on how to make your own. I did it and they are very good.

The disadvantage is when not in use 90% of the time you still have to look at these. Where the rails mounted one you don't see them when not in use.
