Anybody studding the outside of the 1.25" Ripsaw?

I have about 300 miles on it some ice some hard pack and some soft stuff, haven't lost one yet

I have 500 miles on with 144 studs and haven't had any problems. My track has stretched a little and was wondering how loose it should be before it may cause a problem. I'm not very good at fixing stuff and was wondering how tough it is to tighten the track as well

cswan, its pretty simple just raise the back of your sled off the ground and loosen the bolt on the rear wheels. spin the track a couple of times and make sure it is alligned. go to the rear of your sled and when you look through the track from the back you should see two identical nuts (one through each window on the track) use a socket or the tool in your tool kit and turn both nuts clockwise alittle at a time until track is to your liking. retighten rear wheel nut/bolt.(you must secure the other wheels nut or bolt with another socket or it will just spin) This is all explained in the manual.

Hey Boston, what size studs are you using, mine measure just short of 13/4 and stick out past the lugs about 1/4 if an inch, im a bit worried they may hit the front exchanger

I am using the 1.375" Megabites. I have a 1.25" track. 500 miles of hard riding and no problems that I know of yet. If you need any further information, ask away.

Give me a day or two, my sled is in the shop getting my blue wheels taken off. I should know by midweek.
