I ride mixed terrain and conditions in New England. I don’t mind losing a couple top end mph, but want all-around grip corner-to-corner.
I plan on swapping from 1.25 ripsaw up to the 1.5 ripsaw2 track.
Running TD stock muffler multi-map with Dash flash. Dalton adjustable weights .
Stock otherwise.

I ran a 136 x 1.25 Ripsaw 2 on my Attak, before I change to an Ice Attak, and I found it to be an incredible track for varying trail conditions. The Ripsaw 2 IMO is a much better all around track in comparison to the original Ripsaw.

I think the stock 1.25 is a ripsaw 2 also, correct?
The 1.5 does look to have a different paddle pattern though.

I also plan on installing a 1.5 ripsaw , to replace the 1" track on my 22 SRX , as I want the corner to corner snap , from the coolest looking sled available.I ride mixed terrain and conditions in New England. I don’t mind losing a couple top end mph, but want all-around grip corner-to-corner.

I will add the 240 or 270 SS Hurricane SM tune , along with studding of 1.8 +/-".
This should be a nice combination to get what I am looking for .
The other consideration would be to change the gearing slightly , to add to the snap .
What would the next step up in gearing be from stock ?

I swapped out the stock Ripsaw 1" with a 1.5" Ripsaw 2 track on my '21 SRX and couldn't be happier. Awesome bite with this track and the durability is very good. Running a 250hp tune and the traction is great. I usually ride in very good snow conditions so I d0n't run studs. I would think that with studs you'd have yourself an awesome track in mixed trail conditions.

Glad to hear others are doing this swap.
I like studs a little on the long side and was wondering if 1.8 (with the rear tunnel protectors installed) would have any clearance issues up front?

Funny you posted this. I was thinking about the exact same thing yesterday. I also am considering taking off the 1.25 and going with a 1.5 track on my new Winder.I ride mixed terrain and conditions in New England. I don’t mind losing a couple top end mph, but want all-around grip corner-to-corner.

If I did this swap I think I would only run 2 studs per bar.

I am planning to do the 1.5" rip2 track on my 137" winder this year. I will be putting 4 studs per bar in it though. Planning to go with 3/8" of penetration on the studs.

Well Newbie ZIG, where & what do you ride.
If you stay mostly on trail, look into the 1.5 STORM.
It's 1.5 in the middle & 1.25 on sides. In theory it helps you turn. I'm hearing great things about it for trail riders.
OH, and WELCOME. Where in CT are you from?

I am going to do all double backers up the middle (Exact pattern TBD) with the extra large head studs for single ply tracks. Not even going to consider doing single backers this time around due to the number of tearouts + broken studs I had this year with 144 in my 1.25" rip2. Also considering the stud boy pro-lite backers too.

I live in Southington, CT.
My sled is a 2018 Sidewinder LTX 137.
thanks for suggesting the storm, but I bought the 1.5 Ripsaw 2 already. I did consider the Storm also though.

IMO, success, or lack thereof, with longevity of any studded track is usually highly dependent on how sleds gets ridden. Anyone can destroy any studded track easily by spinning at the wrong time.I am going to do all double backers up the middle (Exact pattern TBD) with the extra large head studs for single ply tracks. Tuned, high HP doesn't necessarily equal stud destruction. I'm constantly thinking about what my track is on top of before pulling trigger.
