Hi.

Topic says it all.

How do they perform on the nytro? I mainly use the sled for rough trail riding and boondocking.

Also, where is the cheapest place to buy these skis?

Thanks!

Toein or toeout refers to ski alignment. I have them on my Attak. 3 full seasons and have tried toein and toeout for ski alignment. Toein 1/4"-3/8" has worked the best. Any toeout or straight they darted.

I bought mine from Ulmer for mt attack. I loved the skis and thinking about a set for the Nytro. Allen @ Ulmers had the best price for sure.

I bought them from K.J. Motorsports. I run the 6 inch Bergstrom triples, 3/8 ski savers (Bergstrom) and shim the front. Used them on my Attak, and now on my XTX's. I think the shims in the front make it steer a bit easier as I have one XTX with and one without shims. Off trail is a non event. The back end will sink long before the front as the snow gets deeper and deeper. I used this setup in Idaho this spring and was very happy on trail and off.

K.J Motorsports. Great service and price.
Big improvement over stock in all conditions. I also have the 6 inch Bergstrom triples. I might go bigger yet when it's time to change them as I still had some darting at times. I'm going to try the 1/4 toe in.

Got mine at KJ.

I would add, when I talk ed to Scott Burgstrom, with 144 studs, he recommended 8" triple points. He also sent 1/4" and 3/8" ski savers. All the ski savers do really ( besides save the skis) is make it easier to turn the skis with those 8" trips on. According to Scott. I used teh 3/8" but the sterring was so easy I may try the 1/4" ones to see how it changes.

Now he told me Slydog changed their rubber mounts a bit he thought so he told me to shim the BACK of the rubber. Some people shim the front but that may be the older rubber. What you want is to have the tip of y ou carbide just a bit off the ground when the sled is sitting on flat ground. You don't want the carbide to dig in, in the front. I ended up using the 3/8" SHIM for the rubbers. He sent me a 1/4 and 3/8 shim for these as well.

There was also a long post about the whole toe in toe out thing. Do a search but I will tell you what I did was a 1/4" toe out.

When I did this setup according to Scott's suggestions, the sled was 100% different. Before it, I was contemplating trading it in, now I am extremely happy.

Zeke, I see or talk to Scott every week LOL! The other thing the Savers accomplish is to shroud the host bar. THAT, and proper shimming reduces steering effort. Isn't he tough to get off the phone though LOL. Great guy, and he doesn't own or ride sleds.

I have a set that has just over 1000 miles on them and in good shape with 7" shaper bars and mounts. Black with blue loops.

$200

Thanks

Dustin
