Been looking at bikeman compressor wheel since they announced it. Curious if anyone’s tested it and has any info on it or if it’s 0 gain and don’t bother, which I’m assuming since the lack of info.

So it claims to make the turbo more efficient. Is this in theory or some dyno runs prove it? I guess I would like to see some dyno numbers before dropping 4 bones.. And why are the other tuners not doing this? M2C

Now with turbo dynamics releasing their wheel upgrades, what’s everyone’s thoughts? And I get impeller angles may differ but same concept between them, and bikeman is almost half the price. Be cool to hear some actual input.

The Bikeman wheel would still have to be installed and balanced.

From what I've read, TD is claiming 15hp gain for trail pump gas tunes. Close to 50hp in race-type setups. So it claims to make the turbo more efficient. Is this in theory or some dyno runs prove it? I guess I would like to see some dyno numbers before dropping 4 bones.. And why are the other tuners not doing this? M2C

Probably wont get solid feedback on the td wheel till end of next winter. Price will be close to a grand all said and done after shipping back and forth to td, 4 bar map sensor requires and likely a tune update. I researched turbo wheels when I had a tuned and deleted lml duramax and ultimately billet wheels offered more strength than cast wheels and offered some gains in spool up but usually peak hp remained similiar to the stock wheel in the real world. Imo if there was big gains to be had the tuners would of released something years ago. I think at this point we are seeing little things that may offer some gains but if the “juice is worth the squeeze” will be up to the person paying. Anxious to hear some feedback next winter.

Well bikeman says it’s just a split turbo and drop on part from them. Td is $300 more and need to ship it for them to do. I get the better impeller quality and I’m sure blade angles could improve spooling, and with the extra room the impeller fills up it in theory has better boost capability. Just wish there was some people with some experience with them.
they all say same tune an set up. I don’t see need for 4bar but 3 bar possibly.

Read description on td website. Says need to upgrade to 4bar sensor if you currently have 3 bar, must have something to do with the tune update.

If need 4bar this would mean turbo will now make over 30psi with upgraded wheel. I believe 3 bar only tracks boost to about 30psi.Read description on td website. Says need to upgrade to 4bar sensor if you currently have 3 bar, must have something to do with the tune update.

Looks like they updated description today. Be interesting to see why they feel it needs a 4 bar. They never answered many the questions people have asked. I’m thinking 4 bar is intended more for their race tunes.

It might be, they dont specify which tunes need it so I assumed they all did.

It sure reads that way. Love to see what it’s doing that the bikeman one is not. And what it’s doing that’s working.

If its working you mean lol. Im always skeptical of spring releases and especially on something that it seems every tuner would of looked at early on in the development of products for the winders. Cant help but feel this would of caught on much earlier if it was worth the effort. Buy one and let us know how it worksIt sure reads that way. Yea bikeman came out at beginning as they said similar had good results on 1100t. Wondering if it was a development cost thing. It was more cost effective to test tunes exhausts and stuff
But yea that’s why I figured ask around and hope someone had some info and results.
