I was just watching snowmobilier TV and they had these blue LED lights on an RX-1 underneath the running boards. They looked pretty cool and I was wondering if anyone on here has tried them? Not very practical but they look really neat.

Some guys here have used LED 1157 bulbs. You can get them in red and remove the red insert in your tail light so they look clear until you start your sled. I use hyperlights http://www.hyperlites.com/ on my motorcycle and you can get those in most colors. I have been collecting single LED's where you drill 3/16 holes and you can put them anywhere you want for accent lighting. Havent hooked them up yet as I am waiting to see about the 06 sleds. https://www.streetglow.com/cgi-local/sh ... nled-s.htm

On a similar note. My Bv2S helmet has a 3 LED red light built in.
On a recent 700 mile run I had 2 different led lights on elastic bands. The leader strapped one on his helmet facing backwards and turned it to flash. We all loved it. He NEVER got lost in the snow cloud, we could see him nearly a mile ahead.
LED's are the wave of the future. Very little current consumption, super long life and they are small so you can mount the anywhere.

Wow, thats a good idea with the helmet, I might have to try that. I hate not being able to see where the person is in front, kinda dangerous when the speed picks up a bit.
The lights I saw on Snowmobilier TV were actual kits that you could buy and put on your sled to make it stand out. They could be mounted anywhere, were waterproof and good for 50,000hrs. They looked pretty cool and I was thinking of getting some red ones for my LE 04' warrior. Any ideas as to wheather this would be any good or not? Anyone who has done this or if you know anyone that has what do you think of it?

Any feed back is appreciated guys, thanks

i have some led lights....two orange ones underneath the running boards and one blue one under the hood. i want to put another blue one on top of air box or tool compartment. the only place i could mount blue one underneath hood is onto the steering block. u cant really see that one unless its pitch black. but i have the snowforce led lights. i've had them on everynight i went riding, which is probably about 800 or so miles of night riding. u cant imagine how many ppl look at them like...led lights on a sled..wtf?!?! maybe i could post some pics on here...i'll c what i can do

Ummm blue LEDs under the sled????? Wow what a concept.....................Cubby

P.S.- The white LEDs on the side have now been replaced with blue ones and since they have almost no draw (.006 of an amp) I put them on a switch so I can leave them on when I go into a bar because I hate to show off...................Cubby
