I've got a turbo 174" mountain nytro currently running a 47degree helix. I'd like better back shifting and was looking at converting to the team tied secondary. I've seen some posts from 2009 where some testing was done on this clutch with mountain nytro's, but no one seemed to get them working well, and not on high hp turbo sleds.

Does anyone have these working well on a turbo mountain nytro?

Thanks!

I ran one on my turbo nytro for a season on trails I got it really close for my riding style, and yes the backshift was awsome, but I needed new helix to make it perfect and I didn't feel like paying over $100 for it since I had to buy a whole bunch of different springs to find out which one I needed, so I got rid of it. Hope this helps

I have a season on a Tied on a non turbo in the mountains. It is a great clutch. But as said it will be very expensive to get set up right and you won't be able to get any assistance in it because there are just not enough on Nytros out there. It's bad enough to where mine has sat on the shelf the past two seasons and I consider it one of the worst investments I've made on my sleds. If the tech support was there I'd say it would be a great clutch.

I'll sell you one for half of new. With one extra helix and about 4 springs.

My advice would be go to a 45 on yours. I tried a 47 on my turbo 174 last year and it was probably the worst set up I've had. I can get plenty of upshift from the 45 and the back shift is great. The apex's pull a 47 good but they also have a lot more up top.

PM me with the cost of your Tied secondary you are looking to sell and I'll see if I want to take on making one of these work. Does it include the jackshaft that is required for the Nytro?

I denfinitely do not want to go down to a 45. Mine pulls a 47 easily. In fact, I would consider going a little steeper than that on high boost, but the clutch can't seem to take it. It gets too hot.
