does anyone have an aftermarket front or rear suspension on there phazer? i want to upgrade from my fx shocks and iw as wondering what anyone else was using and their opinions.

They must not have it on there website.Mrsled has the middle one.He showed my there new flyer.

Why not go with Öhlins. They have allways worked great!

Ive got Öhlins in the front on my Nytro and against a friends Apex GT with adjustable shocks they are just not in the same leage...

Me and my roommate both dropped $3200 each on Custom Axis shocks at Hygear. They are way better than stock, but we are getting lousy service, which is contrary to what was promised us. First, the center shock did not fit correctly, and the track ripped the adjuster knobs off the top of the remote res. Also, we're both 230 lbs and ride hard, and numerous times I stressed this to Ross, and he assured me the spring rates would be good, but the shocks came undersprung. Now he wants to charge us for new springs instead of swapping them. I have sent a few e-mails over the last three weeks, and he won't answer them. I'm pretty disappointed in him/them.

WOW For $3200! They should be working HARD to make sure your a happy camper!

Yeah, I thought he would. I never asked for anything free, except for the spring swap. They already give a good deal on revalves when you buy from them. He's already prepared to make our center shocks right. I'm just anti about spending 200-300 dollars more on springs when I don't even want to keep the ones that are installed. The thing is, he's convinced I don't need stiffer springs, but that's a ride height/sag issue and has to be seen in person.

When I first talked to Ross, they had not even set up any mtn lites and he mentioned us doing "testing" for them. I really stressed the importance of the need for good service(and stiff springs/valving) if I were to drop all that money, and he assured me there would be no problems. He answered every one of my e-mails up until 3 weeks ago. Now I have three unanswered. Two with the same questions and the last one asking him to answer me. That last one I sent a week ago now. It's pretty much like he's had the final word and I have to take it or leave it.

My roommate's going to call him today, so we'll see what happens. I'll let everyone know.

Dont realy on emails.... if you need to speek with him and it that importaint call him!!! How do you know the email have even been delivered!!! with all the SPAM out there.

i have no doubt that Hygear can be good and those schocks are great but for 3200$ i bet u get some SWEET Öhlins and they know yamaha since yamaha owns the company...

In my experience and many i have spoken to the quality and exact tollerances in the shocks makes u have to service them much less than most other shocks... Allmost every snowcross racingteam in sweden race Öhlins... Eaven Cat, Pol and BRP Lynx factory teams!!! :flag:

Well, Ross finally answered me, so at least we have some dialogue. He still recommends staying with the springs I have, so I'll just have the shocks valved stiffer then wait for next winter to test them.

At least some progress is being made.

I made sure that I wasn't just jumping the gun on complaining here. This scenario has been playing out for more than a month and a half, and has ended my season very early.

I do have new hope, however, that we'll get the kinks worked out. All I want is to be happy with my suspension, and if, down the road, I feel like I have slandered Hygear, I will apologize publicly and privately. I really hope that is what happens because my shocks would be awesome then.
