Great pictures! Pls keep them coming! I am told mine may be in later this week. The handle bar pad looks a little disappointing - I am going to try and put on a regular blue RX-1 pad. I am pretty sure it fits - however, it will block the view of the bottom of the speedo slightly if your not over 6 feet tall. At least it will look finished.

Congtrats! Yep may have to be tall to see all the cluster. Reminds me of a Rx1 with different seat and taller bars.

It's not my sled Skidoo10, I work at a dealership, I do have a Blue Attack coming thou. But thanks anyway.

Seeing the cluster is not really a problem.

i don't know if u relized this pullinfront, but ski-doo10 was mocking the apex...ski-doo10, why are u even on this site
there are other bombardier, cat or poo guys on this site but they don't disrespect yamaha all the time

thats one sweet sled! :4STroke: :yam:

If you are not seriously interested in a 4-stroke or have something constructive to add why come here. Yamaha, IMHO, is the only manufacturer going the the right direction, slight weight and suspension issue but the 06 should , in final form address those issues. To knock something just to stir things up is a waste of time and space.

And once again a thread de-rails....

I didn't think the radiator was that big, but it looks like it will be a nice addition to the cooling-system in low snow-conditions. Nice feature! ;)!
I also thought the sidepanels would open a little lower down the sides? Would you have to remove the lower bit also to drain the chaincase, or is there just a drainage-hole in the panel???

Hey SKIDOO10 the mach Z sucks and so do you. Go back to your own site. What would you know about a RX-1. plus if you ever ridden the 05 mach z then you would know you cant see two of the gauges unless you lean over the bars (that is if it can run long enough) :moon: :tg: :tg: :moon:

Man that sled is BAD!! Well the wife gets the RX1 with the turbo set at a VERY LOW 5psi  and i will work to get a Apex!! NICE NICE STUFF!!

Skydog ;)!

Good question about draining the oil tank ! I have been wondering the same thing. Looks like the lower part of the cowel is rivited on. Maybe a guy can make a special funnel to catch the oil and run it out side the sled into a pan.

The 03 chaincase had a pipe going to the inside of the tunnel (no mess). I'm not sure about the bottom of the oil tank resevoir on the 06

Just think of it this way....... Skidoo10 has 2 strokes, 2 cylinders, 2 strokes on the wang, wishing his other head was as big as the one he shoots his mouth off with, watching a 4 stroke website, wishing he had an Apex, crying to hear that Yamaha just broke the 7 second barrier, broke the grass record, twice, and still needs to comment poorly on the Yamaha sled line.

Sorry to add this to the thread, but needed to do so.

The pic shows the handlebars are too forward, which makes it look like the gauges are hidden. My Attak sits perfect, and I can see everything. Showed the guys at the track this weekend, and I think they see Yamaha as being the sled leader of the pack for 06.

The oil tank might be a trick if the panel cannot be removed, but its not the end of the world. I had one of those screws that would not back out on my '03. I just ended up putting a small bowl under the tank and drained it that way.
